Mobile phone motorist nabbed in Downpatrick on St Patrick's Day by police on cycles
POLICE on cycle patrol in Downpatrick on St Patrick's Day this year saw a motorist using a hand-held mobile phone.
"They cycled up Colmcille Road after him and a few minutes later saw him parked at the side of the road and saw he was still on his mobile phone," a prosecutor told Downpatrick Magistrates Court on Monday.
Conor Dobbin (48), of Ballymote Walk, Downpatrick, was given six penalty points and fined £200.
