Motorist had unrestrained infant in vehicle in Ballymena

A MOTORIST caught driving whilst banned with an unrestrained infant child in a car seat has been given a three months jail term, suspended for a year.

Daniel Mosoiu (29), of Woodland Grove, Ballymena, was also uninsured for a BMW at Cushendall Road in the town on February 13 this year.

Defence barrister Stephen Law told Antrim Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena, the defendant, a store person, apologised "profusely".

The defendant was also banned from driving for three months and fined £200.
