Driver is accused of using hand-held mobile on M2 motorway

A DRIVER is accused of using a hand held mobile phone whilst on the M2 motorway near Antrim.

David Andrew McDonald (31), of Glenview Drive, Limavady, is also charged with 'being unable to have proper control' of the vehicle 'or have a full view of the road and traffic ahead'.

He is also charged with failing to wear a seat belt on the same date - May 26 last year.

At Antrim Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena, the case was adjourned to July 27.
