Police catch uninsured scrambler rider who had crossed grass area in Antrim town

TEN minutes after police saw an orange-coloured scrambler being ridden across a grass area, officers then saw a man from Mull Road in Antrim pushing it into the rear of an address.

Jamie Kinley (23) admitted using the scrambler without insurance on May 27 this year.

A defence barrister told Antrim Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena, the defendant had been "test driving" the vehicle on grass and had "panicked" when he spotted police.

The defendant was banned from driving for two months and fined £100.
