Police took drunk Ballymena teenager home but he then climbed out window

A 19-year-old Ballymena man was disorderly when he climbed out of a window after police brought him home in a drunken condition from the area near Gracehill and Galgorm Community Centre where youths had gathered on March 30 this year.

Kurtis Dunlop, of Pinegrove Park, appeared at Ballymena Magistrates Court (main picture) and admitted charges of being disorderly and resisting a police officer in the execution of his duty.

A prosecutor said the defendant was unable to stand due being intoxicated and police brought him home.

Dunlop climbed out a window, fell over and ran across a road, falling again. He began shouting and swearing on the street.

A defence lawyer sad the defendant wished to apologise for his behaviour.

The defendant was ordered to do 100 hours of Community Service.
