A POLICE vehicle had to move to avoid being hit when an Audi car driven by an 'unfit' motorist began rolling back when stopped in Ballykinler, County Down.

Elizabeth Rice (50), with an address listed as Springfield Road, Belfast, had locked the doors and failed to apply the handbrake, Downpatrick Magistrates Court (pictured) was told on Monday.

The court heard the defendant had drugs in her system including codeine on the date of the incident - March 27 this year.

The defendant was banned from driving for a year and fined £150.
