POLICE saw a motorist going round a roundabout the wrong way whilst "racing" in the area of 'The Junction' retail park in Antrim town.
Shea Duff (19), of Ballytromery Avenue, Crumlin, has admitted dangerous driving in relation to June 5 this year.
At Antrim Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena, a defence lawyer said the PSNI saw the defendant going the "wrong way round a roundabout in circumstances the police described as racing somebody else".
The full details have yet to be outlined to the court.
It was heard the defendant had a previously clear record.
District Judge Nigel Broderick adjourned the case to October 26 for a pre-sentence report as he said a fine and ban may not be appropriate "if he is racing".
