A WOMAN who is accused of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of cocaine has had the case at Ballymena Magistrates Court further adjourned to May 5.

Alesia Peldaiuniene (34), of Fisherwick Crescent in Ballymena, is charged in relation to February this year.

At an earlier hearing in connection with the case the defendant had the assistance of a Lithuanian language interpreter.

At the previous court, Peldaiuniene pleaded guilty to possessing cocaine and not guilty to the assault charge.

A defence barrister previously said the charge is connected to a "domestic incident involving a stabbing".
