POLICE responded to a report of a one vehicle road traffic collision at Blenheim Drive in Newtownards on December 30 last year and a woman "almost tripped up" as she ran forward to the car saying she had been driving.
Officers noticed Melissa Dickson (30), of Beaufort Walk in Newtownards, was unsteady on her feet; was slurring her words and appeared drowsy.
A preliminary breath test was zero but a blood sample showed substances including benzodiazepines.
A defence lawyer said the defendant had made "full admissions" to driving whilst unfit.
At Newtownards Magistrates' Court the defendant was banned from driving for a year and was fined £150.
