'Unfit' motorist put car on roof near Kells

A CAR ended up on its roof on the Liminary Road near Kells and the motorist has now been banned for a year and fined £250 for driving carelessly and whilst unfit.

Glen Taylor (28), of Knockeen Crescent, Ballymena, was out of the vehicle when police arrived at 4.10pm on February 24, 2020.

A preliminary breath test gave a zero reading but he was unsteady on his feet when escorted to an ambulance. He didn't require hospital treatment, Ballymena Magistrates Court was told.

It was suspected he was under the influence and substances in his blood included cannabis.
