Woman admits stealing eight internal doors during burglary of neighbouring home in County Antrim

A WOMAN has admitted stealing eight internal doors during a burglary from a neighbouring property where a person had been in the process of moving out.

Margaret Lynch (39), of Firmount Drive, Antrim town, was also in possession of Diazepam in August this year.

A prosecutor told Antrim Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena, the rear door of the property had been left "unlocked".

She said the internal doors were taken off their hinges and police found them "sitting loose" at Lynch's property.

Defence barrister Neil Moore said there was an "unusual background" to the case.

He did not give any further details as the case was adjourned to December 21 for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
